Senior Accountant

We're looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Property Accountant, you'll be in charge of handling the financial side of things for multiple corporate entities and property portfolios. Your main tasks will include keeping accurate financial records, preparing reports, and making sure everything is up to industry standards. The perfect candidate will have a solid background in property management accounting, hands-on experience with RealPage or similar software, and a good grasp of commercial and residential real estate.

Here's a rundown of what you'll be doing:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for commercial portfolios and corporate entities
• Handling month-end close procedures for corporate and commercial management accounts
• Performing account reconciliations and ensuring accuracy of financial reports
• Analyzing financial data and providing insights for operational improvements
• Reviewing payroll, managing entries, billing, and reimbursements
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Working closely with regional and community managers
• Managing commercial tenant relationships and processing rent checks
• Handling corporate AP, intercompany billings, and bank accounts
• Managing vendor tax forms, invoices, and bills
• Assisting with reserve requests and reimbursements

Minimum qualifications for this role include:

1. At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate/property management
2. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
3. Strong understanding of real estate accounting principles
4. Previous experience with Yardi, Onesite, RealPage or similar software
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
6. Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
7. Strong attention to detail and reliability
