Accounts Payable Associate

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented Accounts Payable Associate . It is Micro Center’s core promise to take care of our associates and customers which has led to our success over the last 40+ years!

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work a daily report to resolve discrepancies to schedule invoices for payment
• Issue shortage documents to vendors and perform POD research for disputes
• Apply credits, vendor refund checks, and exchanges with proper authorization
• Perform daily, weekly, and period-end check runs
• Work inventory credit card transactions using an exception process
• Respond to emails and phone calls from vendors
• Digitally submit, verify, and file paperwork
• Cover work for absent team members
• Complete daily production reports
• Cover mail duty: balance and scan morning reports, stuff envelopes with vendor checks
• Adhere to all area processes and manage the workload as other responsibilities are added

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school education or equivalent; preferably some college
• Exposure to accounts payable processing
• Ability to work independently and maintain focus throughout the workday
• Willingness to support team members and area goals
• Ability to communicate with other team members and the Accounts Payable Manager
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Strong organization skills and ability to multitask
• Prioritize work according to deadlines
