Oil & Gas Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Process Joint Interest Billing (JIB) distributions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Conduct month-end reconciliation of financial statements related to oil and gas operations.
• Manage and coordinate external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports for management review.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial recording of oil and gas transactions.
• Provide support in financial forecasting and budgeting activities related to oil and gas projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is preferred.
• Proven experience in processing Joint Interest Billing (JIB) distributions.
• Strong understanding of month-end reconciliation processes in the oil and gas sector.
• Experience in managing and coordinating audits, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred (but not required):

• Previous experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices.
• Knowledge of oil and gas regulations and reporting requirements.
