The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payable. The position supports the Treasury functions for the organization as well as tracking purchase orders, issuing payments, and maintaining accounts payable records. As an Accounts Payable Associate you will provide direct support to the Finance operations of CHN.
What you will be doing in the role:
Accounts Payable Processing
- Ensure compliance with Accounts Payable and Procurement policies by processing invoices, tracking outstanding payments, managing purchase order variances, and distributing invoices for approval as needed.
- Review, process, and monitor all invoices and check requests, ensuring appropriate documentation and approvals are obtained while identifying irregularities or trends with recurring invoices.
Accounts Payable Administration
- Maintain and update vendor information within the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and timely modifications.
- Identify process issues within Accounts Payable and collaborate with other departments to drive improvements while providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
What you bring to the role:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of accounts payable or general business office experience
- General understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology utilized in role
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and databases
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, tenants and CHN employees.
- Valid Ohio Driver's license and auto insurance.
