Staff / Senior Accountant

A B2B distributor of specialized laboratory testing instruments in the Burlington area is hiring an Accountant to join their 4 person accounting team. The veteran-owned company has experienced steady growth over the last 30 years and have never done layoffs. They do over 50M in sales a year, and this role is critical to ensuring all revenue is properly accounted for.

You'll be collaborating with their Senior Accountant and AP/AR team to ensure that all invoices have been properly processed and contributing to month end close by reconciling credit card receivables/payables, international vendor prepaids and assets/liabilities, using Sage and Excel on a daily basis. Given it is a retailer, you'll be maintaining purchases clearing reports and inventory trial balances.

Must Have Skills

• 3+ years of experience in accounting field
• Past experience with AP/AR lifecycle, ideally in a retail environment or another high volume environment
• Past experience reconciling credit card accounts, international vendor prepaids, assets and liabilities
• At least a basic understanding of clearing reports, inventory valuation reports, inventory trial balance and PO variance reports

Nice to Have Skills

• Past experience using Sage
