Senior Accountant

Our client a rapidly growing construction and services company seeks a Senior Accountant to join its team. The company offers an excellent opportunity for growth, stability and solid benefits.

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements including variances.
• Provide supporting workpapers and reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly prepaid and accrual schedules and ensure proper monthly posting of accounting entries.
• Support and oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable,
• Assist with Percentage of Completion
• Assist in driving an 8-day month-end close.
• Responsible for reviewing and/or preparation of bank and credit card reconciliations and assist with filing of sales tax returns
• Assist with any ad-hoc accounting projects and ERP implementations across the platform companies as needed.
• Provide support to the auditors and tax advisors as needed.

Requirements:

• 5 years of related accounting experience.
• Bachelors degree in accounting.
• Sage 300 and Sage Intacct ERP experience preferred but not required.
• Construction industry experience a plus.
• Public accounting experience preferred but not required.
• Detail oriented, organized, able to work independently and meet stringent deadlines with minimal supervision
