iHire: What makes IMA a great place to work?

Jordan Skidmore: The people! We are structured in a way that fosters teamwork and collaboration across our various business units.

iHire: How would you describe your company culture?

JS: Our company culture has a family feel that is very appreciated by its Associates. You are encouraged to ask questions and bounce ideas off each other, even if that person may or may not be on your specific team.

iHire: What sets IMA apart from others in your industry?

JS: The culture definitely sets us apart. Time and time again, I hear from candidates at our competitors that they are in a highly competitive environment where people are stepping on each other’s toes to stay ahead of the game. With us, we embrace teamwork and collaboration, which allows us to better service our clients.

iHire: What one word best describes IMA?

JS: Family.

iHire: How do you recognize and reward employees?

JS: Several different ways. We recognize employees through our intranet in the form of “high fives” that allow Associates to call out their colleagues for displaying characteristics of our core values. We also recognize employees through various internal communications regarding new clients won, volunteer opportunities available within the community, and upcoming events. We reward Associates with a Service Award Program when reaching milestone anniversaries and offer companywide LifeBalance PTO, which gives the flexibility to take time off as needed to create the life balance that works best between their personal and work lives. We also reward Associates with career growth and ongoing collaboration on growing to achieve their career goals.

iHire: What benefits and perks do you offer?

JS: We offer a very strong benefits package that includes medical, dental, and supplemental insurance and a 401(k) with a strong company match (also fully vested from day one) to meet the growing needs of Associates in today’s market. iHire: What types of positions are you looking to fill?

JS: Our core roles center around Account Management within the Commercial P&C, Benefits, and Personal Lines space.

iHire: What advice would you give candidates who are applying to IMA?

JS: We really like candidates who display problem-solving and critical thinking skills. We are also very passionate about our core values, so any candidates who embody several of our values tend to do very well here.
